DIY – Add Some Color and Personality To Your Drink-Ware

Looking to add some color and personality to those boring clear glasses?  Well here is an easy and fun way to do it.

Here is what you will need.

Add color to your drink ware or glasses

I chose to use acrylic stemless wine glasses from Crate and Barrel because these will be used and stored outside.  For these glasses I used Martha Stewart’s acrylic craft paint along with DecoColor opaque paint markers.

Start by dipping your applicator in the paint (my applicator of choice is also from Martha Stewart Craft’s line, the foam pouncers – so easy to use and so easy to clean).  Then dab onto the surface of the glass until it is covered.

Depending on the color, you may need to paint two coats to get the desired look.  Let this dry for about 30 minutes.  While this one is drying, paint the other glasses in different colors.

Once dry pick your paint pen color and start adding dots to your glass.

I used all the colors to make it look like confetti.  If you are using multiple colors start with the first color and cover the glass with dots, then move onto the next color and so on.

When they are all finished you have beautiful and unique wine glasses for you and your quests!

Don’t be afraid to get creative. Use different paint methods and different types of drink-ware.  Here are a couple others I did.

Plastic insulated cups can be done too.  For these I just used the paint pens and made dots to create the pattern.
